A change is coming...
This dish is now a staple in my house. My son is not on board with it yet but husband will happily eat it. I vary it a bit each time. But I always use red peppers, english cukes, a little red onion, vinegar, olive oil, agave, mustard, oregano, salt and pepper. Sometimes use avocados, walnuts, basil, mint, zucchinis.
Feeling out of control
Wow, I can't believe that it's been weeks since I last posted! The fall always gets a little crazy here so I am not surprised that I feel so out of control. So today I am trying to organize my week. First up smoothie making. I frozen 1# of organic strawberries and a banana to put in my smoothie this morning. I will be using spinach in my drinks for next few days. I have so much kale to harvest from the SFG, I think I see kale chips and kale salad in my near future!

TV is slowly creeping back in..
I watched the news then flipped around. Luckily the boy busted me and I turned it off. I have to say that we are getting much more done with the t.v. off. My attitude is better and I have been less grumpy. I could hardly stand my self last week, so crabby. Several things were contributing to that but things look much better this week. This is much harder than I thought it would be. I am more addicted to it than I thought!!

Green Smoothies replace my morning coffee
Since January of this year, I have had a green smoothie every morning. In August this has changed a bit. I am no longer craving them and have learned that we chould rotate our greens. Currently, I am switching back and forth between smoothies and juices in the morning. This smoothie included kale, spinach, strawberries, mango, bananas, water, ice and pumpkin and flax seeds.

Juice for the day...
Ok, I do not juice every day, but today I had spinach, celery, carrots, apple and lemon. I liked it. I forgot to take a picture of it. Next time.
No TV for a month
Day 2 of no TV. Not too bad. We are allowing ourselves to use the TV for DVD's and to play Wii. But no network shows, news programs and other junk in our brains for the next 28 days. On day 1 we never turned the TV on. Today we were wanting to so we watched Shrek 2 and a couple episodes of the old Muppet Show. The rest of our normal TV time we spent playing Yahtzee and reading blogs.
